The speed-regulating reducer primarily consists of a clamping drive mechanism, a friction transmission mechanism, and a speed-control system.

The mechanical continuously variable reducer (friction‑type planetary CVT) consists primarily of a clamping actuator, a friction transmission mechanism, and a speed‑control unit. Rotating the handwheel drives the cam‑type speed regulator to change its angular position; simultaneously, axial movement of the cam‑type speed regulator is induced by the interaction between the spherical cage and the cross‑sectional profile of the fixed cam, thereby altering the cam’s cross‑sectional curve. This, in turn, uniformly adjusts the clearance between the cam‑type speed regulator and the fixed ring, causing radial motion of the conical planetary friction wheels. Ultimately, this results in a uniform change in the effective radii at the friction contact points among the planetary friction wheels, the driving wheel, the pressure plate, the fixed ring, and the cam‑type speed regulator, thus achieving stable, stepless speed variation.

   Structural features

The worm gear reducer consists of three main components: the housing, the worm wheel, and the worm.

The frames of this model, in all sizes, are cast from GG-25 ductile iron, offering exceptional fatigue and vibration resistance and helping to prevent any unforeseen issues during assembly.

The worm gear is made of case-hardened steel, while the tooth surface and crown are crafted from DIN bronze (GZ-CuSn 12 Ni2) fused to the steel. Thanks to the high mechanical performance of these two components, the assembly delivers excellent efficiency and low noise levels.

The output shaft is hollow, but a solid shaft can also be used.

Nitrile‑butadiene oil seals compliant with DIN 3760, high‑quality bearings, epoxy‑impregnated coating (two‑component), and a gray single‑layer enamel coating (two‑component), RAL 7672. Offering the most competitive ear reducers on the market.

   Assembly position

To install the gear reducer and ensure its efficient operation, the following instructions must be observed:

It must be securely mounted on a flat surface to prevent unnecessary vibration or stress.

If undistributed loads or continuous starting are anticipated, it is recommended to install compensating couplings, connectors, torque limiters, and similar devices.

If the gear reducer must be painted, the brake must be covered to prevent it from drying out and losing its sealing integrity.

Machining of components mounted on the output shaft requires a clearance fit of ISO H7 or h6 for hollow shafts.

   Reverse driving

It is prudent to bear in mind this factor when the output shaft of a gear reducer is driven rather than serving as the driver. Given that one characteristic of worm gear reducers is their inability to be driven by the output shaft (i.e., their non-reversibility), it is virtually impossible to achieve complete non-reversibility under external influences such as vibration. For this reason, when an application demands full non-reversibility, it is advisable to employ an external brake with sufficient capacity to prevent slippage.

   Maintenance

This gear reducer is permanently lubricated, so it requires no maintenance of any kind.

   Lubrication

Lubrication for this type of gear reducer is continuous and standardized, using a high‑quality refined oil that provides rust inhibition and wear protection, contains iron‑, copper‑, and alloy‑based additives, and meets the CLP DIN 51517‑3, FGZ Grade 12, AP GL‑4, US 224, and AGMA 250‑04 quality standards; therefore, no maintenance is required.
