The supply voltage for the electromechanical brake may be provided either as a dedicated source or derived from the motor’s power supply in the wiring space. Supply may be taken from the motor’s line voltage only when a fixed-speed motor is used. For multi-speed motors and variable-frequency drive operation, the brake must be supplied with a separate power source.
